Tie-Dye Workshops with Rainbowtopia !!

Come and join in the fun at Retro Depot with Sharon and Rainbowtopia’s Tie-Dyeing Workshops. there are two workshops that will showcase the ins and outs of tie dyeing and the intricate patterns that can be made, using Australian handcrafted dyes that are non-toxic (so no masks, eyewear or gloves required!) colourfast and eco-friendly with the dyes being able to be used on most fabrics. Learn how to set yourself out from the crowd with your fashion style and add a little colour to the world.

Learn the basics, have some fun, take home your works of art and open up the magic at home.

Pillowcase Tie Dye Workshop – 9:45 am to 11:15 am 

In this workshop Sharon will go over the whole process of how a plain item goes from “blank” to a piece of art! While step by step, you learn how to transition your very own Pillowcase into a work of art to take home. You will also be able to bring 1 small item from home to do as a bonus! – Item Should be preferably white or a soft colour (Cream, light blue or light pink). The item needs to be pre washed and damp (low spin is fine) and brought in a plastic bag so it can be transported home.

Item can be – a T shirt short/long sleeve, singlet/tank top, leggings, soft shorts, socks, hanky or underwear (for the adventurous!).

New and recycled items welcome. 

For ages 7+ to Adults (under 12 years must be accompanied by a ticketed Adult)

$25 per ticket

Tote Bag Tie Dye Workshop – 11:45am to 2pm 

Find a way to add a little colour to your style with the intricate world of Tie Dying, learn to Tie Dye your own Tote Bag (supplied) with Sharon taking you step by step through the exciting process of creating your own fashion accessory for you to take home.  You will also be able to bring 2 items from home to do as a bonus! – Items should be preferably white or a soft colour (Cream, light blue or light pink). The items need to be pre washed and damp (low spin is fine) and brought in a plastic bag so it can be transported home.

Items can be – a T shirt short/long sleeve, singlet/tank top, leggings, soft shorts, bucket hat, sarong scarf, socks, hanky or underwear (for the adventurous!).

New and recycled items welcome.
