Market Entertainment: November 2018

We hope you had a chance to join us and dance in October’s Retro Depot, when the Swing Katz swung by and gave free dance lessons to start swaying those hips. It was fortunately some good weather for a fun outdoors performance.

Moving on to the last segment of Spring, we look forward to a visit from TraXion Big Band who will play fantastic music that will be well-suited for Remembrance Day commemorations. We also have many of our regular performers to look forward to. Tinker’s Cuss has been livening things up, and Lisa Maps has been busy playing at more gigs. Please read on to see our full schedule below.

TraXion Big Band

Canberra’s own big band, TraXion will be playing at the Markets on the 11th of the 11th. This synergistic group has been playing together for over 10 years and will accompany us for Remembrance Day commemorations. They will then follow with an estimated 30-minute performance. To find out more about TraXion, see their website at www.traxionbigband.org.

Tinker’s Cuss

The Old Bus Depot Markets regulars, Tinker’s Cuss will be opening the month for some fun and laid back tunes. They’re really been spicing up they’re playlist giving long-time visitors a reason to come back and have a listen. To preview this acoustic folk trio, jump to their Facebook page @Tinker’s Cuss to see their photos and videos.

Lisa Maps

Lisa Maps will be playing at the Markets again towards the latter half of the month. Inspired by artists like Jewel, and The Waifs, she’ll be strumming tunes with influences of folk, pop, and country. With music that’s contemplative, uplifting, and melancholic, you can follow Lisa on her Facebook page @LisaMapsMusic.
