TraXion Big Band on the 11th of the 11th

TraXion Big Band will be coming to the Markets on the 11th of the 11th to help us commemorate Remembrance Day. With the pedigree of TraXion, we can think of none better to underline the event than Canberra’s own.

Fitting in with the theme of national celebrations, which seek to ‘Pause the Nation’, TraXion will play the last post at 11:00, observe a minute’s silence, play the Rouse, then proceed with and estimated 30-minute performance. Playing anything within their repertoire, they will also incorporate a celebratory style similar to the original celebrations that’s in line with the national theme of moving Remembrance Day to a celebration of peace.

The date will also be The Old Bus Depot Markets’ Jewel of Canberra event which will showcase a wide range of jewellery items and accessories. The Markets will be home to the region’s best jewellers and designers. We invite visitors to take the time to browse these fantastic handmade designs and talk to makers and fellow enthusiasts.

According to the TraXion Big Band website, they are a Canberra-based Big Band who has played together for over ten years. They take a particular interest in both new swing music and the classics. The band is open to performing at corporate and private bookings. To find out more about TraXion Big Band, please head to their website at www.traxionbigband.org.
