Wool lovers unite for our two-day wool fest
We knew you loved wool. We see it at our A Celebration of Wool event each year. Which is why this year our most popular theme event will run over two BIG days – Saturday 20 May AND Sunday 21 May.
So, will there be much wool there? You bet! So far, we have 45 wool stallholders booked in, and we’re still counting. This will be the weekend when many craftspeople from Canberra, the region and interstate – with 4 Victorian wool producers currently joining us – come to create, demonstrate and sell their wool. They love wool, and you will too. You can take part in our special wool workshops running throughout Saturday 20 May – there will be workshops in crochet, felting, macrame and knitting. Check our website for details on how to book your spot.
Over this woolly weekend, you can browse and buy hand felted garments and accessories, designer knitwear, weaving supplies, funky beanies and hats, shawls and scarves, gloves and socks; thermals and underwear, contemporary handspun art and farm label knitwear. There’s also a vast array of luxury and specialist yarns in merino wool, alpaca, mohair, silk, cashmere, cotton and possum (including hand spun and hand dyed yarns) and knitting, spinning and felting tools and accessories.
There will also be two sheep-shearing demonstrations on each day: 2 on Saturday at 10.00am and 1.00pm; and 2 on Sunday at 11.00am and 2.00pm. Wonder-wool!
