Canberra Wool Expo 2020: Cancelled

We regret to advise that the Canberra Wool Expo “A Celebration of Wool” 2020 will be not going ahead. Due to Covid-19 restrictions around crowd numbers and implementing social distancing measures and state border restrictions across Australia.

We are saddened that we have had to make this hard decision and the impact it will have to all that enjoy this wonderful event. Many stalls are small businesses relying on the Canberra Wool Expo to showcase their lovely products and crafts. We hope you can continue to support them during this time, please see our stallholder directory and keep in mind for online orders.

We have already started working behind the scenes to make 2021 a Wool Expo to remember!

Wool is timelessly popular. Just ask the many craftspeople from Canberra, the region and interstate who come to create, demonstrate and sell this most fabulous of fibres. It’s a great time to meet and speak with wool producers, craftspeople and artists. See a range of demonstrations from hand-spinning to weaving.

Watch shearing demonstrations and learn about the process of collecting wool from the sheep. There will be four shearing demonstrations each hour from 10:30am on both Saturday and Sunday.

If it can be created in wool, you may just find it at the markets. Browse and buy hand felted garments and accessories, designer knitwear, weaving, funky beanies and farm label knitwear. There’s also a vast array of woolen yarns, including hand spun and hand dyed yarns.
