Market Entertainment: September 2018

We hope you enjoyed last month’s performances. Our talented performers certainly put on quite a show with acts from Jumptown Swing, the Guitar Cases, and Lisa Maps to name a few.

This month, we have quite the line up to welcome spring. There will be two exciting yet very different performances on Makers-Con thanks to Guyy and the Fox and AFK Choir. The latter of whom have been known to sing about topics like Star Trek and zombies. We also have two musicians on tour, Nathan Power and Zac Saber, both on the 23rd. Things certainly sound like they’re heating up, so we can’t wait to see you at the Markets.

Nathan Power

In 2017, Nathan sold out the launch of his debut single “Solstice” which played across PBS, 3RRR, and Triple J. Beat Magazine described Nathan’s music as having inspirations from folk, blues, and country. Nathan recently released what he calls the jauntiest break up song of 2018, entitled “Shoes” which looks at the little things left behind after a relationship. Listen to shoes and other music by Nathan Power on his website at nathanpowermusic.com.

Zac Saber

Zac Saber is a folk singer-songwriter hailing from Melbourne, Australia. A recent uni graduate, his single “Dear Manners” surpassed a million streams on Spotify. Have a listen to this upcoming performer and his EP entitled “Clearer” via his website at zacsaber.com.

Saije

This travelling duo has a number of albums and singles to their name with music videos published on YouTube. Hailing from Bellingen, Australia they embarked on an eight-month journey to play in places all over Europe. They’ve also played in different venues along Australia’s East Coast. Access their music through their Bandcamp page at saijemusic.bandcamp.com
