Bookings for Christmas December 2023

 

This page gives you information on the bookings process for approved stallholders, with bookings taken via our online form  below. November market bookings will be as normal through our online bookings form, as we expect to be busy, please book in early to avoid disappointment.   

Christmas Trading this year will be –

1st Weekend – 3rd December Christmas Super Sunday
2nd Weekend – 10th December Christmas Super Sunday
3rd Weekend – 17th December Christmas Super Sunday

Regular Stallholder –

A stallholder that attends the markets every Sunday & has signed the terms and conditions as well as having a permanent stall allocation” Bookings and stall fees are as normal.

Frequent Casual Christmas bookings –

“If you join us for 8 markets from Sunday the 4th of June to Sunday the 27th of August, we will offer you a special rate as a Frequent Casual”, this will give you a lower rate for Christmas bookings made on Sunday the 3rd, 10th & 17th of December 2023 and also give you the option of having a suggested position within the market (subject to availability) 

Casual Stallholders –

“Casual stallholders” are defined as stallholders who have not been assigned a permanent stall in the market every Sunday and does not qualify to be a Frequent Casual by not attending 8 markets between Sunday the 4th of June to Sunday the 27th of August 2023”.

Conditions –

  • Bookings will be prioritised based on general attendance of the markets, requested location of stall (i.e. outside would get a higher priority), quality and uniqueness of your product.
  • Marketing this year will reflect the strong schedule that was applied to promote the Canberra Wool Expo, so will include printed media, radio, television and social media. We encourage you all to send through promotional material for you stall to info@obdm.com.au as well as promote December trading through your own marketing channels, as that made a major effect on the success of the Canberra Wool Expo.
  • To keep the markets interesting for visitors, there will be capped limits on some categories of products. We will try to accommodate everyone, offering refunds for overbooked categories if necessary.
  • This year Saturday markets will not be going ahead, as it has been reflected upon and the focus is thought to be best on the traditional Sunday market.
  • Please allow us on or by 20 November for us to confirm your stall space.
  • All bookings for December are to be made through our online portal, markets must be paid by Thursday 30 November. Failure to make timely payment will result in the cancellation of your bookings and your stall will be allocated to someone on the waiting list. There are no exceptions to this policy.
  • During the Christmas period, cancellations must be made five days prior to the market you would like to cancel. If you cancel by the Tuesday before your market date, we will offer you a credit for another market. Please note we do not refund fees.
  • Please note a 1% surcharge will apply for all cards payments. Online payments have no surcharge.
  • All bookings are subject to a final review. There may be situations beyond our control where bookings may have to be cancelled. Your stall may not be in the location you have preference ie. Upper level, lower level, Kingston foreshore space, fitters workshop and outside.
