Canberra artist Frances McMahon has been obsessively painting Australia’s beautiful birds since age 5. Entirely self-taught, her masterfully painted, exquisitely detailed and completely original watercolour bird art is guaranteed to take your breath away!

Painting with a minute brush, her original works may take up to 230 hours to complete, with details so fine they can only be seen with a magnifying glass.

Among numerous awards, Frances was the winner of the prestigious Holmes Prize for Excellence in Realistic Australian Bird Art 2022 and was the worldwide winner of Color and Art 365 magazine’s animals art competition.
