Market Entertainment: May 2019

How did you enjoy your Easter Weekend? Easter Sunday was quite a busy one for us. Aside from terrific musical performances all month, we also saw entertainment in the form of the Easter Bunny. Sometimes, finding chocolate eggs can be the most entertaining thing at any event.

Though winter is coming, we’re determined to keep a warm and vibrant atmosphere in the Markets. Taking centre stage on the Canberra Wool Expo on 18-19 May will be singer songwriter Tessa Devine. She’s recently been touring it up around Canberra and Sydney and we’re excited to have her at the Markets for a live performance.

Tessa Devine

Tessa Devine brings her sweet soulful voice back to the Markets. There’s a special sense of honesty in her songs that you truly need to experience in person. We couldn’t think of anyone more fitting to bring acoustic life into the Markets come the Canberra Wool Expo.

Hedley Nelson

This young and up and coming musician has been performing at various venues around Canberra. He’s been keeping busy as of late playing at Smith’s Alternative and the National Folk Festival. It will be his first time performing at the Markets.

Monique Lewis

Monique Lewis is a talented singer-songwriter. It’s been a while since her last performance and we can’t wait to hear what new songs she’s added to her set list. Follow the link to see online samples of her performances.
