Market Entertainment: March 2019
How about that exciting performance by Prosperous Mountain Dragon and Lion Dance? It was a one-of-a-kind performance from a Markets where you can find one-of-a-kind handmade items. If you were in attendance, we hope you’re finding good luck and feeling good vibes.
While International Crafts and Food saw many talented and lively performances, we hope to keep the good times rolling for the first month of autumn. We have two special musicians. One who hasn’t played with us in a long time, and another who’s new to the Markets. The always fun AFK Choir will also be here to provide 30-minute bursts of entertainment.
A rich and unmistakeable voice, Richard has blown away crowds at over 150 blues, rock, folk, acoustic music festivals alike. He’s a veteran to the festival scene and he’s played all around Australia and overseas. The Markets hasn’t seen him in a long while and we’re thrilled to have him back. Greg Barnwell
Greg is a multi-instrumentalist and a retired music teacher. He plays the clarinet, flute and sax. With a track accompaniment, he plays these instruments to relive hits of the 80’s and 90’s to stage musicals and easy-listening jazz. Catch his first gig at the Markets on 3 March.
Hymns celebrating pop culture? Check. Bat’leth Duel from Star Trek? Check. Smiles on faces? Check. If you’ve yet to see AFK Choir perform live, you’re missing out. They are a fun-loving group that enjoys singing about all things from zombies to outer space. Catch a glimpse on their Facebook @AFKChoir.
