Market Entertainment: June 2019

How about that smooth and heartfelt performance by Tessa Devine? The Canberra Wool Expo every third week of May is one of our biggest events of the year. And we’re grateful for the soulful energy she brought to the Markets.

Now that Canberra Wool Expo has passed, that’s not to say we’re out of exciting events. Not in the slightest. Some would say our next event is the most exciting with Kids in the Shed on 9 June. Prepare for kids’ laughter to shake the Market halls. Expect for a slew of attractions such as a bouncing castle and special performances for kids’ entertainment.

The Guitar Cases

Here’s one band that’s all over the Canberra scene. One of the most recognisable bands at the Markets, they sure know how to liven up a place. They’re outlaw and country folk with a blues influence. Imagine Redgum with some Peter Green, JJ Cale and Johnny Cash.

Mina-Siale Latukefu

It will be Mina-Siale’s second time at the Markets. She’s has a fantastic singing voice playing songs that span pop and singer/songwriter. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for this young musician on the rise.

Monique Lewis

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve last seen this young star at the Markets. She describes herself as a singer/songwriter whose performed locally and overseas. Her social media is filled with samples of her music. You’ll quickly see why we’re excited to have her back
