Creative Fibre – Creative Canberra

Visit the markets on Sunday July 17th 2011 and you’ll see a side of Canberra that is brimming with textile artists, who weave, design and make knitted garments, embroider, hand dye fabrics and yarns, make lace, and handfelt accessories or homewares.

You’ll be able to speak to artists about their textile speciality and learn about the processes involved.

ANU School of Arts, Textile Design and the ACT Textiles Art Association will all be on hand along with Canberra Regional Guilds who will do demonstrations on the day and be available to answer questions.
