Come and get wooed by wool
Wool. Is there anything you can’t do with this glorious fibre? Come and get wooed by wool with us at our one and only annual day that pays homage to this winter favourite, A Celebration of Wool, on Sunday 17 May.
This day is your chance to meet craftspeople from Canberra, the region and interstate and see the many amazing things they create with wool. Stock your winter wardrobe with handmade garments and accessories, designer knitwear, millinery, funky beanies and farm label knitwear.
Jodi from Acorn Sisters in Yass will be there with her handmade and embellished neck warmers, headbands and fingerless gloves. Gary Sheen, a felt maker who lives and works in the Hunter Valley, will travel to take part in A Celebration of Wool with his gorgeous range from Feltfine. He and his business partner will have beautiful merino yarns, fibres for spinners and felt makers, yarns for weavers and knitters and lots and lots of eco-friendly natural fibres and yarns.
As a bonus, you can also meet the region’s spinners and weavers, and the Canberra Region Feltmakers who will be doing demonstrations and can answer any of your woolly questions. So don’t be sheepish, come and check it out.
