New to The Jewel of Canberra this Year is Miss Chopsticks Origami Jewellery. Talk about original! Sydney-sider Parry Yang dreamed up Miss Chopsticks as a result of her miniature origami hobby, and has honed her origami skills to make her intricate creations into earrings, rings, hair pieces, necklaces, brooches and more. Can there be anything cuter than earrings featuring origami cranes, butterflies or rabbits?!

Another newbie this year is Canberra based designer/maker Robyn Apps with Rhapsody Design. Specialising in jewellery and fashion accessories, Robyn’s ‘not a toy’ range includes Lego and Scrabble tiles made into necklaces, cufflinks, earrings and more.

Canberra local Simone Carter is also back to Jewel after a few years off with her totally unique range of jewellery made from fabric buttons, jigsaw pieces, watch parts, vintage linen, broken plates and beads. She creates interesting pieces including necklaces, rings, earrings, cufflinks, cuffs and more.

Catch Simone, Parry and Robyn along with all our other jewellery creators, at The Jewel of Canberra on Sunday 13 November.
