Spotlight on Buskers: Matt Withers

Matt Withers is an internationally acclaimed classical guitar performer who is bound to wow the crowd at the markets with his performances of Spanish, Latin and classical guitar.

Matt forms part of Australia’s premier guitar quartet, Guitar Trek, headed by world-renowned classical guitarist Timothy Kain. Matt also forms half of the Brew Guitar Duo.

He has recently returned from a solo tour of New Zealand where he performed in twelve concerts across the country at universities and guitar societies. He’s been a busy guy having toured Europe last October where he performed at an international guitar festival in Sweden and performed a couple of concerts in France. He’s also in the middle of recording a new Guitar Trek CD in a studio in Sydney.

Matt will play a mix of Latin American, Spanish and Classical favourites all day at the markets on Sunday 19 July, where his CD will also be available to buy. It’s his first time at the markets, so make him welcome and we’re sure he’ll be back.
