NEW – Sweet treats from The Dessert Jar
Ever had that feeling that no matter how much you eat, there’s always room for dessert? Local baker Jasmine does – she just loves pastries, cakes, cookies and all things sweet, and she always has room for treats after a meal. This was her inspiration for creating her own baking business, The Dessert Jar, which she now brings to the Markets each Sunday. Having found her passion in baking and creating delectable indulgences, coupled with her Patisserie certificate, Jasmine now makes celebration cakes, biscuits, cheesecakes and chilled desserts from a commercial kitchen in Canberra. All her products are handmade from scratch using the freshest ingredients, and the most popular items her and husband Alvin take along to the Markets are her handmade biscuits in jars (pictured) and individual petite gourmet cakes. Cake varieties include lemon, ricotta and citrus curd, strawberry and hibiscus tart, yoghurt and orange blossom cake, dark chocolate ganache and salted caramel tart, and Persian love cake. Coming into Christmas The Dessert Jar will also have Christmas themed cakes available. De-lish!
