Launch of original Canberra Centenary t-shirts
The Old Bus Depot Markets will honour Canberra’s Centenary at our annual Creative Fibre event this Sunday 14 July with the sale of limited edition Canberra Centenary t-shirts.
Planet Boab and Rokoco were inspired by the original architectural designs for the city and the relationship between the two Griffins. Working in collaboration they created Walter & Marion and will be launching the Canberra Centenary organic t-shirt at Creative Fibre.
Planet Boab and Rokoco will have adjoining stalls this Sunday and the limited edition Walter & Marion organic cotton t-shirts will be available in short, long and three quarter sleeve options in three colours. Afterwards they will be available online at www.planetboab.com.au
Ro was part of a tribute exhibition ‘The Unity of Art & Life’ earlier this year in honour of Walter Burly Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin. they decided to take Ro’s artwork as the starting point and inspiration for a t-shirt design to celebrate Canberra’s Centenary.
Creative Fibre will feature some of the country’s most talented textile artists and designers who will be showcasing and selling their handcrafted wares, from hand dyed fabric prints and yarns, to baskets, weavings, embroidery and more.
