Mouth watering cakes
Baking since 2010, Sally started selling her Vanderkamps goodies in 2011 and has been a hit at the markets ever since.
Specialising in mud cake varieties, using a recipe she spent a year perfecting, her range of delightful cupcakes includes old favourites like chocolate mud, the extremely popular red velvet, as well as white chocolate mud cake, caramel, mocha and classic vanilla.
Each charming cupcake is topped with mouth watering ganache, piped to resemble a rose – a signature of Sally’s. Her ‘Deluxe’ range includes salted caramel cupcakes topped with a fleur de sel caramel macaron, which seems to be the flavour of the moment. Pairing this delightfully crunchy creation with a moist mud cupcake is a match made in heaven! Sally is also a talented cake designer. Each cake is designed individually to suit needs and budget, but most importantly the cakes taste as good as they look.
Inspired by her cake idol, Peggy Porschen, Sally created her first cake for her grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary and following the overwhelming feedback, Vanderkamps was born. Almost every Sunday Sally can be found at the markets offering her delectable cupcake creations to hungry punters. This can also be used as an opportunity to browse her assortment of flavours and ask Sally about the sugar cookies, dessert tables, stand hire and tastings she offers.
