It’s all about the headwear
With the spring racing season just around the corner, Edwina Woods’ visit to the Old Bus Depot Markets could not come any sooner. As a milliner, Edwina specialises in creating stunning, one of a kind hats and fascinators as well as eye-catching bridal pieces, designed to order. Whether you’re competing in fashions on the field or dressing up for fun, we know it’s all about the headwear at the races. Edwina’s style is clean and structured, a touch flamboyant and yet elegant, and perfectly complements upcoming spring/summer fashion trends.
But with so many wonderful pieces to choose from, how do you choose the right one for you? Edwina’s motto is ‘dress to your shape’. She suggests wearing hats that complement not only your style but your body type. If you’re shorter, a smaller hat will work well, but if you’re on the taller side, you can go to town with a larger hat or fascinator.
Living in Wagga Wagga, Edwina first studied millinery at the local community college. Five years on and Edwina is now making the market rounds, showcasing her dazzling pieces in Sydney, Canberra and along the coast each weekend. Luckily for us, this talented designer sets up shop once a month at the Old Bus Depot Markets. Her next visit will be on Sunday 9 September 2012.
