Portobello Road in August

Say goodbye to winter with a day out browsing through an eclectic mix of quirky and interesting treasures on our last Portobello Road event for the year.

When it comes to Portobello Road, the question is more what CAN’T you find? Stallholders are constantly updating their items to make sure they always have something valuable and exciting to share. To start, see a great range of antique jewellery, china, glass art, silver, linens, restored pieces, cutlery and crockery. Count on nostalgic homeware items to also be available such as lamps, clocks, and even typewriters, all on Portobello Road. Have fun treasure hunting and tell us what you find!

Creative Fibre

Creative types unite! Be inspired by the originality of the region’s most talented textile artists showcasing and selling their work at our annual Creative Fibre. This day offers an excellent opportunity to engage with the textile artists who call the Canberra region home. You can see products and learn about the processes involved in designing, printing on fabric, creating mixed media homewares and wearable textiles, weaving, knitting, crocheting, hand dyeing fabric and more.

What might you find? A large range of handcrafted homewares, clothing and textiles.

Kids in the Shed

This is your chance to celebrate being a kid and doing what kids do best… having fun! Bring your kids, parents and grandparents to this super fun family day out at the markets. All these kids having fun means a lively atmosphere and buzzing energy all around.

What might you find? Stacks of products that kids love including handcrafted toys, kids’ room accessories, artworks and lots of bright, modern handmade clothes for babies and little boys and girls. And of course, what’s a family day out without delicious treat foods. Yummo!
