Canberra is such a rich and diverse multicultural community, and on International Day, we really like to show off the best bits with everything from music and dance, to handcrafted gifts and delicious food.
International Day takes place on the 2nd Sunday in February where you can ‘travel the world’ within the market surrounds, exploring the many cultures which call the nation’s capital home. Taste international cuisines, be entertained by local ethnic music and dance groups performing traditional dances, and buy gifts handcrafted in faraway lands. You can browse and buy Indian block print textiles, Turkish towels and Ottoman style jewellery, Pakistani block printed handmade paper and table mats, French provincial homewares, Japanese kimonos and homewares and handcrafted jade sculptures.
