These hats are cool

6 August, 2014

HatsHats, lots of hats. That’s what you can buy from Cool Country Hats  . But stallholder Bob Dyer says his business sells a lot more than just hats. And with the current cold weather, it’s his gloves and socks that are literally walking out the door. Bob and his hats are an old favourite as he’s been at the markets for around 17 years.

He’s a real character and his products are loved by the locals, Australian and international tourists alike. Based in Canberra, this local is selling a range of products including hats, beanies, scarves, gloves and socks made from a blend of possum fur, fine merino wool and silk – and they’ll all keep you toasty warm in this winter weather.

In summer, his range of Barmah ‘hats in a bag’ prove most popular – these wide brim hats are made from kangaroo, buffalo and cow hide and, as the name suggests, fold down flat inside a bag. All products are popular with international tourists, and Bob also supplies to the American Embassy, Europe and Ecuador. Don’t miss Bob at the markets every Sunday.
