Glenbog Nurseries

Selection of Teas in glass jars from Old Bus Depot Markets Stallholder, Glenbog Nurseries and TeaWhat do you do if you own a well-established nursery and want to ‘branch’ out so to speak? Get into teas of course. That’s what David and Lyn of Glenbog Nurseries have done, and the pair are at our markets every week with two stalls – their plants and their teas.

Having run a very successful nursery in Burra, just 30 minutes from Canberra, for over 15 years, the pair have been coming to our markets for about 13 years with their range of hardened plants that are perfect for the Canberra climate. Every week they bring a mix of natives, exotics, fruit trees, ornamentals and deciduous plants to the markets, their point of difference from other plant sellers being that they actually grow everything they sell.

Friends of theirs originally sold teas at the markets but were looking to do something else, so David and Lyn took over and their ‘GTea’ range includes over 80 types of teas and infusions. They make a lot of their own blends, many of which are organic and Australian grown using black tea from North Queensland, and green tea grown in Victoria. The GTea range is available in 50 or 100 gram packs, they also offer 10 gram taster packs so people can sample before they buy a bigger pack, and they will also blend to order.

So if it’s plants or teas that you’re after, see the Glenbog stalls on your next visit.
