New, funky designs from Resin Doll

Resin Doll CollageIn her own words Caroline Winefield stands out at the markets. She’s the one in the bright and beautiful vintage dresses sporting a pair of funky heels with her handmade resin shoe clips and jewellery. Her business is Resin Doll, and she is certainly one creative mummy. Caroline is a mum of three who works from her home in Canberra creating vintage reproduction jewellery, shoe clips, cardigan clips, hair accessories and dress clips.

All her pieces are lovingly created by hand which involves her mixing and colouring two part resin, setting it in moulds and revealing each individual creation – a process that takes a couple of days all up. Caroline gets her inspirations from rock-a-billy and vintage fashions and says her pieces appeal to all ages.

The oldies often like certain pieces as they recall having something similar when they were younger. And the younger girls like them as they’re quirky and provide something different to the usual mass produced accessories. You can meet Caroline and see her Resin Doll creations twice a month at the markets including this coming Sunday 1 June.
