The Photography Room was first established in 2011 by Sean Davey, and has been promoting local, national and international photographers to a Canberra audience for the past five years.

The Photography Room will open two exhibition spaces in the markets, which will present works by a number of Canberra based artists, as well as photographers from around Australia, Europe and the USA. The spaces will be welcoming, contemporary and commercial art galleries that will promote photography to market visitors, art collectors, gallery curators and directors, and will exhibit a wide selection of photographic prints, portfolios and a bespoke second-hand photography bookshop.

Check it out when it opens on Sunday 13 March, you’ll be able to catch both group exhibitions and solo shows, and attend talks by artists.  The Photography Room will be open during the markets on Sundays 10am-4pm and by appointment.
