Feminine comfy clothing by Leonaura

Old Bus Depot Markets Stallholder, Leonaura. Grey handmade dressSometimes it can be hard for women to find good clothes. Something that makes you feel good, sexy and feminine, and is comfortable as well. That’s why we say when you find something good like Leonaura, stick with it.

All Leonaura’s clothing is made from scratch by Sydney-sider Leonora Golub – from the initial design to the sourcing of fabrics, textiles and trim, to the actual production. And she’s very good. Leonora grew up watching her mother sew and manufacture for others, and she started hand sewing at the tender age of five. Sewing quickly become her creative outlet and she has been making one-off pieces for herself since she was about 14 years old, followed by work experience and training with various well known designers.

She says her clothing is perfect for women 30 plus, it’s easy to wear and functional for any occasion from beach to resort to evening. She creates a stunning range of slips, skirts, dresses, tops, cardis and more and prefers to use mainly natural fibres such as cotton, linen and silk, with synthetics sometimes used in her winter range. Leonora loves our markets, travelling from Sydney’s Eastern suburbs every Sunday to find her happy clientele enjoying her designs, gorgeous hand dyed fabrics, and made to measure approach.

Stop in and say hi to Leonora next time you’re at the markets.
