A splash of colour from Yvette Fitzpatrick Art

Painting of large bunch of red roses in a blue vase, by Old Bus Depot Markets stallholder Yvette Fitzpatrick Art, hanging on a lounge room wall.If you’ve got the passion, you can make great things happen. Artist Yvette Fitzpatrick is a local self-taught artist, working full time to create her stunning vibrant artwork from her home studio. And these artworks sure are blatant, bold and bright! Yvette is very fond of the vivid colours she uses, and just loves the feel of the paint, using a palette knife to create amazing textures on both linen and cotton.

Yvette draws her inspiration from the beauty of nature and her works are mainly of flowers, with the occasional giraffe or zebra too. All works are one-off originals, and at the markets you can buy her art on canvas, prints, tea towels, greeting cards and bags.

Yvette has been a permanent stallholder for approximately the past five years at the market, and her fabulous artworks can be found in many Canberra homes, having also been sold all over Australia and overseas. You can find Yvette Fitzpatrick Art on the upper level of the markets near the cafe every Sunday.
